Richmond Hill Farm

Showing Opportunities
Schooling Shows

Our riders regularly attend shows that are part of the Acadiana Hunter Jumper Association.  The AHJA show circuit offers low-cost competitions that are close to home.  While they are not part of a larger rating system such as the US Equestrian Federation, AHJA competitors earn points that count toward year end awards, which makes the circuit a great, affordable opportunity to set goals for the horse and rider.

Rated Shows

Richmond Hill Farm Riders  may wish to attend shows rated by the US Equestrian Federation (USEF) in Louisiana and surrounding states including Texas, Mississippi, and Tennessee as opportunities, schedules and rider's goals dictate.

Fun Shows

Richmond Hill Farm conducts fun shows for our riders to show off what they have learned.  These shows allow parents and family to see new horsemanship skills and to share in their rider's joy.

Other Showing Opportunities

If you are in middle or high school or a college student, you may be able to participate on an interscholastic or intercollegiate team at Richmond Hill.  Please check with the instructor to see what opportunities you may qualify for.

PAIR PACE

Teams of two riders and their horses compete in  a timed trail ride.  Riders may choose to jump obstacles along the course or not.  And here's a big twist, the winning team isn't the fastest but the one with the exact middle time.  You can ride in English or Western tack.  The goal is to have a really great time.

Our Pair Paces are held at Cherokee Ridge Horse Farm in Carencro, LA.
